The Lakes International Comic Art Festival recently announced it was going virtual with LICAF LIVE for 2020 – and the Lakes International Comic Art Festival Podcast team have an exclusive chat with Festival Director Julie Tait, who reveals more about the plans for this extraordinary and exciting step into the digital world.
Julie also talks to podcast hosts Ian Loxam and Nikki Bates about how she and the Festival team go about organising the festival year on year, as well as the challenges the team face in ensuring this wonderful event happens as smoothly as possible each October – with plans already in the works for the return of the physical Festival to Kendal in October 2021.
Also in this episode, Tom Stewart reviews Midwinter (1982-1998) by Tim Bird – and it’s Round D (Zombies vs Drama) in the Genre World Cup with Pete Taylor and Mike Williams. Unfortunately, technical issues means there’s only half of the round this episode – but the rest will appear in a future episode!
Ian and Nikki also talk about El Marvo (by Ben Errington, Luke Kondor, Dan Butcher, Will Robson and Vincent Cyril), Reanimator Incorporated #1 (by Andy Perry and Lyndon White), coming soon to Kickstarter; and Conan the Frost-Giants Daughter (by Kurt Buiek and Cary Nord).
