We’re always on the lookout to recruit folks to the ‘Red Brigade’ our now famous band of volunteers and the one group of people most mentioned at the Box Office during the festival last year. The feedback from the public was that volunteers were key in making their experience utterly brilliant. Volunteers not only made the festival happen in a wide variety of ways, but they had the opportunity to meet their comic art heroes, get their favourite books signed and generally have a lot of fun. We’d love to hear from you if you would like to get involved – please contact me direct with any questions or to sign up: This email address is being protected from spambots. The Clock Tower sits in Kendal’s historic town hall, which can accommodate approximately 70 creators, publishers, exhibitors for the weekend, spread over several rooms; it is a beautiful building, with a really lovely atmosphere but the space is very limited.

It is absolutely our priority to ensure that the Clock Tower represents the full brilliance and diversity of comic art, so rather than fill the space on a first-come-first-served basis, we will carefully select our exhibitors to create, we hope, the most interesting, high-quality and exciting offer for our festival audience, one that sits perfectly within the wider festival programme.

If you would like to join us at this year’s festival, please download either a pdf or a word version and complete the form then return to or post to: Lakes Arts Festivals, Unit 3C The Old Barn, Castle Mills, Aynam Road, Kendal LA9 7DE to arrive no later than Friday 27 February 2015, 5pm.
