The Lakes International Comic Art Festival Podcast took a trip out to Oldham Comic Con 2018 last weekend and landed plenty of conversations with some terrific comic creators.
"We had a great time and it really was a well ran event," says co-host Ian Loxam.
"The podcast includes chats with Lee Overton and Pete Davis, John Slater and Mike West, Tazio Battin, Yasmin Sheikh, Sam Chapman, Dan Whitehead and Nigel from Mayamada.
"We also look at the new free comic Jack & Lucy by Rachael Smith and Jacob Phillips, which looks at two troubled teens trying to figure out their personal problems."
Mike Williams also has a treat for listeners this episode and chats to Rob Burman from Mantic Games.
Mantic has created a board game based on the Hellboy comics and they're currently trying to raise funds for it on Kickstarter. Mike talks to Rob about the Kickstarter, the game itself and of course Hellboy.
Pete Taylor also continues his profile series on comic artist and writer Jack Kirby, this time covering his career between 1966 and 1970,when he left Marvel for DC.
