Doctor Who: A Comic Universe
Thursday 26th – Sunday 29th September 2024
The Windermere Jetty, Rayrigg Road, Bowness
2024 marks the sixtieth anniversary of Doctor Who appearing in comics. This exhibition celebrates every Doctor, from the classic TV Comic strips and “The Daleks”, which ran in TV Century 21, to the modern stories published by Doctor Who Magazine.
Plus, we offer a tip of the hat to some of the humorous takes on the character too, by creators such as Lew Stringer, who draws “The Daft Dimension” for DWM today, Tim Quinn and Dicky Howett.
If you're a fan of Doctor Who and want to experience his adventures in a whole new way, enjoy our trip through sixty years of comics history – and plenty of timey-wimey shenanigans too!
The Lakes International Comic Art Festival would like to thank Jason Quinn, Ed Hammond, Paul Scoones and Ian Snell for their help assembling this special celebratory exhibition – and all those who created the comics in the first place.
