The Lakes International Comic Arts Festival is extremely excited to be moving from Kendal after nine glorious years – we’ll be celebrating our tenth anniversary by hosting the festival in Bowness on 14-16th October this year. If you've not yet had the chance to attend the Festival this is your chance!
The Festival is a magnificent melting-pot of all things relating to comic art, manga, graphic novels and anime, celebrating all of the diverse world of comics from superheroes to graphic reportage and everything inbetween. If you are interested in festivals, the arts and local events and enjoy meeting new people and making new friends, then volunteering with us for the Festival weekend may be just what you're looking for.
We have a lovely team of existing volunteers, many who have become great friends over the years. As the Festival increases in scope, we are looking to grow this team. It's a wonderful experience and so much fun! ... and for many, right on our doorstep!
If you're interested in finding out more please pop to our web site Lakes International Comic Art Festival - and if you would like to find out more about the opportunities available and apply to volunteer with us this year please follow the link below for more information!
• We will be holding a meeting for new and existing volunteers on Thursday 7th June 2022 at 7.00pm at the Lakeview Bar and Grill on Glebe Road in Bowness. Please feel free to come along, meet the team, have a drink with us and find out more about joining the ‘Red Brigade’ as we’re known.
