Karel Osoha is a comic book artist and illustrator based in Prague, Czechia

Karel Osoha is a comic book artist and illustrator based in Prague, Czechia, who studied animation at the Academy of Arts Architecture and Design in Prague.

His comic, Čěši 1948: Jak se KSČ chopila moci (“Czechs 1948: How the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia Grasped Power”, written by Pavel Kosatík), which he illustrated, was awarded the Muriel Award for best illustration in 2017.  He was given the same award in 2022 for Prašina: Křídový panáček (“Prašina: Chalk Stick Figures”).

Oshoha’s works also include: Návrat Krále Šumavy: Na čáře (2018, Ondřej Kavalír, Vojtšch Mašek – “Return of the King of the Bohemian Forest: On the Line”); 

Návrat Krále Šumavy: Agent-chodec (2019, Ondřej Kavalír, Vojtšch Mašek –“ Return of the King of the Bohemian Forest: Agent-Strider”); and Návrat Krále Šumavy: Opona se zatahuje (2020, Ondřej Kavalír, Vojtšch Mašek – “Return of the King of the Bohemian Forest: Curtain Call”).

Along with shorter stories published in various fanzines and anthologies.

As well as illustrations for Prašina book series written by Vojtěch Matocha and storyboards for the feature films, Little Crusader (2017), Saving One Who Was Dead (2021) directed by Václav Kadrnka and Arvéd(2022), directed by Vojtěch Mašek.
