The Lakes International Comic Art Festival is delighted to invite applications for our 2025 Exhibitor Marketplace, which will take place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September in Bowness-on-Windermere, the Lake District. This year’s marketplace is sponsored by eminent UK comic artist, and LICAF patron, Sean Phillips.

For a second year, we will also be hosting the UK’s only International Rights Market for comics, as part of our British Comics Now project to promote the wealth of British comics talent on the international stage, with funding from the Arts Council and The Adlard Family Foundation.

The Rights Market will take place on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th September and be located adjacent to the marketplace, on the shores of Lake Windermere and a range of overseas buyers and agents will be in attendance.

Please note that only completed works can be presented at the rights market – this is not an opportunity for a portfolio review.

How To Apply

You can apply to take part in the Comics Marketplace, to take part in the International Rights Market, or to participate in both. LICAF will be providing an online session in advance of the festival weekend for all those participating in the rights market. We will ensure participants are confident with how it works, how to prepare, and what to expect.
