Don't miss the Ink to Action exhibition at Didsbury Library

The free Ink to Action exhibition we're very proud to have initiated in partnership with the British Council - MENA - continues at Didsbury Library, 692 Wilmslow Rd, Didsbury, Manchester, M20 2DN until 30th June 2024, a Manchester City of Literature event. (More details here).

From Ink to Action is a global comic art exhibition that brings together twelve talented artists from the Arab region to tackle pressing environmental issues through the compelling medium of comic art.

In this immersive exhibition, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the diverse perspectives of these twelve artists, hailing from Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria. They have been commissioned to create powerful narratives that address the urgent climate crisis and environmental threats in their own contexts.

Each artist offers a unique lens through which to view these global challenges.

Three artists featured in the exhibition will be joining us across festival activities to share insight, skills and expertise through workshops including: Noha Habaieb, Tracy Chahwan and Zainab Fasiki.

From Ink to Action – Using Comic Art to Save the Planet is a collaboration between The Lakes International Comic Art Festival (LICAF) and the British Council – MENA.

From Ink to Action was launched on the global stage in December 2023 at COP 28. The anthology will be launched in the UK as part of Festival of Libraries 2024.
